When researching appearances of green mugs at the Twin Peaks Sheriff’s Department, I came across this image from Episode 2004. The green mug is shown next to a Santa Claus-shaped mug and a plate of doughnuts. Thanks to a tip from Twin Peaks Archive, I now own a replica of the mug.
The mug was made by the Commodore Company from Japan possibly in the 1950s. The mug measures approximately 3.75-inches long (including handle) by 3-inches wide by 2.75-inches tall.
The bottom of the mug has a green Commodore sticker on the bottom of the mug.
The mug appears briefly in Episode 2004 hold coffee stir sticks. Yet this episode wasn’t the first appearance of holiday-theme mug.
In Episode 1001, Lucy is seen holding the mug when Agent Dale Cooper first enters the Twin Peaks Sheriff’s Department.
Unlike the replica mug I now have, the prop mug used in the series is missing most of the red from Santa’s hat.
